Champions League Hawaii 2012-2020

Champions League introduced a new concept in club volleyball on the island, where teams competed in a league-style format throughout the season against others at their competition level. Instead of spending an entire day at the gym for a single tournament, teams played two matches at a time according to a preset schedule. At the end of the season, a championship day determined the winners in each division and age group, with best-of-five-set matches.

The league’s success was evident in 2019, when seven of the 11 championship day matches went to five sets. Unfortunately, the 2020 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

T2 – Turtle Bay Tournament 2016-2018

The T2 was an annual grass volleyball event held each summer from 2016 to 2018 at the beautifully manicured grass field at Turtle Bay Resort. Due to the growing number of participants, we sought a larger venue and eventually moved the event to Kailua District Park, rebranding it as “The Luau.”

Lanikai Open 2009-2014

This is the very first community event we organized. It was an annual event that took place at Lanikai Park and in 2014 we outgrew the venue and a couple of years later started the T2 event, which later became The Luau. Many collegiate athletes and Olympians have competed at the Lanikai Open
